SUBJECT: Resolution 2000-105, approving board bylaws for the South Kenai Peninsula Hospital Service Area Board

The accompanying bylaws were received from the South Kenai Peninsula Hospital Service Area Board and at their request are submitted for the assembly's approval. The changes from the previous bylaws are largely cosmetic in nature. The primary changes are in Article I, Section 1, where the definitions are expanded to reflect the definitions of the service area and borough to match those included in the lease and operating agreement between the borough and South Peninsula Hospital Inc. Additionally, some code citations are inserted and the reference to the service area board having regulatory power and authority is deleted as the statutes authorize them to have supervisory powers but not regulatory powers. Your consideration and approval of this resolution would be appreciated.
