SUBJECT: RESOLUTION 00-081 ; CPGH BOILER ADDITION

The Finance Department solicited and opened bids for the above-referenced project on September 13, 2000. The invitation to bid was advertised in the Peninsula Clarion, the Homer News, the Seward Phoenix Log and the Anchorage Daily News. Three bids were received. The low responsive bid of $187,000.00 submitted by Redoubt Industries, Inc. comprises the base bid.

The base bid consists of providing all labor, materials and equipment to install a 200-horsepower commercial duty steam boiler, with associated roof removal and replacement, at the Central Peninsula General Hospital.

The funding for this project is from the capital improvement budget. Expenditures for the project will be charged to account number 600.81111.01606.

The attached Resolution requests Award of Contract for this work to the low responsive bidder for the bid amount. The project is scheduled to be substantially complete by February 2001.
