Members of the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly

THRU: Dale Bagley, Mayor

              Jeffrey Sinz, Finance Director

FROM: Mark Fowler, Purchasing and Materials Manager

DATE: August 28, 2000

SUBJECT: Resolution 2000-078

Surplus Tangible Property Auction

The attached resolution declares the items on the enclosed list as surplus and prescribes the manner of sale as a public outcry auction. Borough departments, service areas, and the school district have until September 8, 2000 to pull items from the list. The list will be adjusted and finalized to recognize all deletions and to add any other items which are deemed to be surplus.

An Invitation to Bid for Auctioneering Services was issued on August 10, 2000 and advertised in the Peninsula Clarion. Of the three bids received, Ideal Auction Services submitted the low responsive bid for performing the auction. The Borough will pay a fee of 11.9 percent based on the total sales.

The auction will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2000, beginning at 10:00 A.M., in the fenced-in area behind the Borough Administration Building.
