SUBJECT: Resolution 2005-060, Award of Construction Services For the Sterling Elementary Water Treatment Building

The Purchasing and Contracting Department solicited and opened bids for this capital project on June 8, 2005. One bid was received and is recorded in the bid tabulation attached. The Invitation to Bid was published in the Peninsula Clarion, Homer News and the Seward Phoenix Log on May 26 and June 2, 2005.

The project is Phase one of the Sterling Elementary Arsenic Compliance and consists of constructing the structure to house the water treatment system. Work is anticipated to be complete by October 1, 2005.

The attached Resolution requests Award of Contract for this work to Holden Company, for the base bid of $62,124.00.

The funding for this project is from the Capital Improvement Projects budget. All expenditures for this project will be charged to account number 400.78050.05759.
