SUBJECT: Resolution 2004-113, Award of Professional Services for the Redoubt Elementary & Soldotna High School Fire Detection & Alarm Systems.

The Purchasing and Contracting Department solicited and opened proposals for this capital project on November 17, 2004. The Request for Proposal was published in the Anchorage Daily News, the Peninsula Clarion, the Homer News, and the Seward Phoenix Log.

The project consists of designing both a new fire detection and alarm system for the Redoubt Elementary School and installing additional smoke detection to the Soldotna High School's existing alarm system.

The three proposals were received and are graded as shown below. The appended Resolution requests Award of Contract for this work to AMC Engineers, as the high point firm, for the Base Bid and Reimbursable Amount of $28,216.00.00.
