SUBJECT: Resolution 2004-080, Authorizing Award of Professional and Design Services for the Kenai Peninsula Borough Emergency Response Center

The Kenai Peninsula Borough solicited and opened proposals for this project on July 20, 2004. The Request for Proposals was advertised in the Anchorage Daily News and the Peninsula Clarion on June 28 and July 5, and the Homer News and Seward Phoenix Log on June 30 and July 7.

The project consists of all normal duties associated with a phased design system for Emergency Response Center. This award is for the Schematic Phase; the additional phases to complete the design and construction will be awarded after funds have been appropriated.

Seven proposals were received and scored, and Architects Alaska/Klauder & Company scored the highest. Scores were as follows:
