SUBJECT: Resolution 2004-070, 2004 Capital Improvement Projects, Remainder of Group A, and Group B

Project S04-02, Upper Greer/Tracy Ave., was bid through the Group A process. Group A project bids were opened on May 27, 2004, and advertised in the Peninsula Clarion May 13 and 16, 2004, and Homer News May 13 and 20, 2004. Project S04-02 was not awarded with the other Group A projects due to a lack of funds appropriated for this project. Additional funds have been provided with the passage of Ordinance 2003-19-58. Therefore, we are able to request award with this resolution.

The Kenai Peninsula Borough solicited and opened bids for the following Group B road capital improvement projects on July 1, 2004. The invitations to bid were advertised in the Peninsula Clarion June 10, 14, and 17, 2004, and Homer News June 10 and 17, 2004, and Seward Log June 10, and 17, 2004. Each project was bid separately. The low responsive bid for each project is listed below.

Sufficient funding for these contracts is available in the Road Service Area FY-2004 capital improvement budget. All expenditures for the contracts will be charged to account numbers: 434.33950.C0401.43011, 434.33950.C0402.43011, 434.33950.N0402.43011, 434.33950.S0405.43011 and 434.33950.E0401.43011, and 434.33950.S0402.43011.
