SUBJECT: Resolution 2004 - 052 Authorizing Award Of A Contract For Susan B. English School (Seldovia) Natatorium Wall Resurfacing and Sound Treatment

The Kenai Peninsula Borough solicited and opened bids for the above-referenced project on May 13, 2004. The invitation to bid was advertised in the Peninsula Clarion and the Anchorage Daily News on April 23rd and 25th, and in the Homer News on April 22nd.

The total bid consists of providing all labor, materials, and equipment to re-insulate and resurface two interior walls (following an asbestos abatement project by KPB personnel); furnish and install sound-dampening wall panels and hanging sound-dampening baffles; and an additive alternate to remove existing metal lockers and furnish and install high density polyethylene plastic two-tier lockers as indicated in the contract documents.

Funding is available in account numbers 400.74010.04742.43011, 400.74010.8551A.43011, and 400.74010.8553C.43011.

Please consider the attached resolution authorizing award to Holden Company of Soldotna, Alaska, for the total bid amount of $139,450.
