SUBJECT: Resolution 2004-039, Authorizing Award of Contract for the K-Beach Station #4 Water and Power.

The Purchasing and Contracting Office solicited and opened bids for the above-referenced project on March 31, 2004. The invitation to bid was advertised in the Peninsula Clarion on March 2^nd & 9^th and in the Homer News and the Seward Phoenix Log on March 4^th and 11^th. Two bids were received. The low responsive bid of $95,550.00 was submitted by the Endries Company.

The Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment for the 1000 GPM Emergency Fire water system including generator, water pipe and controls for the K-Beach Fire Station # 4. Work is anticipated to be substantially complete within 90 calendar days after Notice To Proceed.

Funding is available in the Central Emergency Services capital projects budget. Expenditures for the project will be charged to account numbers 443.51611.04465.49101 and 443.51611.04466.49101.

The attached Resolution requests Award of Contract for this work to the low responsive bidder for the bid amount.
