According to AS 29.45.330 (a)(2) a municipality shall publish the foreclosure list for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation. There are only two newspapers of general circulation on the Kenai Peninsula, the Peninsula Clarion and the Anchorage Daily News, and both were given an opportunity to submit quotes. The following is a summary of the quotes received:

It is recommended that the Assembly accept the Clarion's quote of $71.10 per computer-generated page for the tax foreclosure list and $19.29 per computer-generated page for the delinquency lists.
The quoted price is the same as last year which the cost totaled $14,997.66. The contract price is based on the final count of computer-generated pages submitted for publication, estimated to be 200-250 pages for the property tax foreclosure list and 40-50 pages for the delinquency lists. The first publication will be on February 25, 2004, and actual cost will be finalized at that time. Funds are available in account 100.11440.43310
