SUBJECT: Resolution 2004-001, Authorizing Award of a Contract for Professional and Design Services for the EPA Arsenic Study and Compliance.
The Purchasing Department solicited and opened proposals for this project on November 19, 2003. The Request for Proposals was advertised in the Anchorage Daily News and the Peninsula Clarion on October 30 and November 4, and the Homer News and Seward Phoenix Log on October 30 and November 6. Four proposals were received.
The project is to develop a plan and design to treat eight school sites to bring them into compliance before the 2006 deadline. This project is to proceed to the design development phase and is funded from the Capital Improvement Projects budget.
Four proposals were received and were graded consistent with the RFP. The final ranking is as follows:
