SUBJECT: Resolution 2003-096, Award of Construction Services For The Skyview High School Well House Phase 3 Pneumatic Tanks.

This is a bond funded project administered by the State of Alaska, Department of Education & Early Development. The Purchasing and Contracting Department solicited bids for this bond project on July 22, 2003. The bids were received and opened on August 14, 2003. The two bids are recorded in the bid tabulation attached. The Invitation to Bid was published in the Peninsula Clarion on July 22^nd & 29^th, and in the Homer News and the Seward Phoenix Log on July 24^th & 31^st.

The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment to install pneumatic tanks, solids separator and all associated plumbing. Work is anticipated to be complete by December 26, 2003.

The attached resolution requests award of contract for this work to Peninsula Plumbing and Heating, Inc. for the base bid of $42,000.00 and the Additive Alternate #1 bid of $5,700.00 for a total bid amount of $47,700.00.

The funding for this project is from the Bond Projects budget. All expenditures for this project will be charged to account number 400.71180.00WTR.
