SUBJECT: Resolution 2003-051 approving a contract for a broker of record

KPB 2.34.110 requires the assembly to approve contracts for general broker services of a year or longer. In Resolution 2003-019, the assembly authorized the administration to issue a request for proposals to select a broker of record. The due date for receipt of proposals is May 1, which falls after the packet deadline for the May 6, 2003 meeting. It is important that the contract be entered as soon as possible in order to provide the selected firm to solicit proposals from insurance companies for liability, property, and other insurance effective July 1, 2003. Accordingly, pursuant to KPB 22.40.050(E), this resolution containing blanks is submitted with the packet for assembly consideration. The blank information will be provided on or before the assembly meeting of May 6, 2003. Your support of this resolution would be appreciated.
