SUBJECT: Resolution 2003-045, Award of Professional Services For The Bean Creek, KPB Subdivision And Access Roads Project, Cooper Landing, AK

The Purchasing and Contracting Department solicited and opened Proposals for this capital project on April 18, 2003. The Invitation to Bid was published in the Anchorage Daily News and the Peninsula Clarion, Homer News and the Seward Phoenix Log, commencing March 26th.

The project consists of all field survey, plat computation, plat submittal to and coordination with the Planning Commission, geotechnical, preliminary and final road design, for the creation of three subdivisions within the selected tract. The subject property identified as Tract A of A.S.L.S. 2000-5 was selected through the state land selection process. This property will contain the Birch Ridge and Grouse Ridge Subdivisions as well as the Senior Site tract.

Four proposals were received and graded per the attached Tabulation of Scores. The appended Resolution requests award of contract for this work to McLane Consulting Group, as the high point firm (353 points), for the base bid and reimbursable amount of $110,997.00.

The funding for this project is from the Land Trust Fund. All expenditures for this project will be charged to account number 250.21210. BEANS.43011.
