SUBJECT: Resolution 2003-041: A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN ADDITIONAL MAJOR CAPITAL PROJECTS ADMINISTRATOR POSITION IN THE CAPITAL PROJECTS DEPARTMENT

The Solid Waste Department has been working on numerous solid waste capital projects. The primary project, the Central Peninsula Landfill Expansion, is design complete and ready for the first phase of construction. A project administrator is needed as soon as possible so expansion construction and other solid waste capital projects can begin this summer. It is anticipated that the project administrator will be needed for a period of two years with time dedicated solely to solid waste capital projects. The position will be deleted when projects are completed and appropriated monies are spent.

Funding for the position will be in solid waste capital accounts. Work on the Central Peninsula Landfill Expansion will be accounted to 411.32122.mspln, future bond fund account, and grant accounts, if available. Work on other solid waste projects will be accounted to the applicable project.
