SUBJECT: Resolution 2003-025, Award of Professional Services for the
Nikiski Community Center
The Purchasing and Contracting Officer solicited and opened proposals for this project on January 20, 2003. The Request for Proposals was advertised in the Anchorage Daily News, Peninsula Clarion, Homer News, and the Seward Phoenix Log.
The project consists of the normal duties associated with a phased design system, including Programming Phase, Schematic Design Phase, Construction Document Phase, Bidding Phase, and Construction Phase. All design aspects will reflect the current UBC family of codes, latest ADA amendments and current NEC.
The attached Project RFP Evaluation Sheet lists the responding firms. Four proposals were received and were graded per the attached Evaluation. The attached resolution requests award of contract for this work to Architects Alaska/Klauder & Company as the high point firm for the base bid and reimbursable amount of $319,534.
The North Peninsula Recreation Service Area Board of Directors met at its regular meeting on February 24, 2003, and recommended award of contract to Architects Alaska/Klauder & Company.
All expenditures for this project will be charged to account number 459.61110.03213.49311 and 49313.
