SUBJECT: RESOLUTION 2002-134; SOUTH PENINSULA HOSPITAL
Authorizing the purchase and installation of a new hospital information system.
The attached resolution authorizes South Peninsula Hospital, Inc. to purchase and install a new hospital information system in an amount not to exceed $1,084,872.
With the assistance of Mr. Dick Friedland, SPH consultant, SPH solicited proposals from four prospective information system providers. The proposals were evaluated and the high ranking proposal is Computer Programs & Systems Inc. (CPSI).
The SPH Inc. Operating Board as well as the South Peninsula Hospital Service Area board have approved the purchase and installation of a new hospital information system.
Purchase and installation of a new hospital information system was approved in fiscal year 2003 capital projects budget. Funds are available in account number 601.81211.48516.
