SUBJECT: Resolution 2002-116, approving rental of the Homer borough branch office from Robert Plymire

On February 1, 1996, the borough entered an agreement with Robert Plymire to rent office space in Homer for a Homer branch office. Since then, the agreement has been renewed annually; a new agreement was entered in June 1999 and extended on an annual basis. This resolution authorizes the administration to extend the existing agreement by one more year and ratifies the earlier rental of this property. Assembly approval of leases is required by code, and, although the assembly has been informed of the lease and has annually appropriated the necessary funds, prior approvals have not been located.

This office has proven to be very useful to borough personnel and the public in the Homer area.

The monthly rental rate of $900 has not increased since February 1996, and the administration believes that the $50 per month increase is reasonable. Your approval of this resolution would be appreciated.
