SUBJECT: Resolution 2002-106; Resolution for Award - Track Loader, Homer Baling Facility

The Finance Department solicited and received bids for a track loader for the Homer Landfill. The invitation to bid was advertised in the Peninsula Clarion and the Anchorage Daily News.

The track loader is a specialized piece of equipment used to stack bales and perform other landfill tasks.

Seven bid packets were distributed and two bids received. The bid submitted by Craig Taylor Equipment Co. was deemed non-responsive due to non-conformance with equipment specifications.

The qualified and responsive bidder was NC Machinery Co. with a bid in the amount of One Hundred Seventy Seven Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Dollars and No Cents ($177,850).

Funds are available in the Equipment Replacement Fund account 705-18420.
