The Finance Department solicited and opened proposals for the above-referenced contract, and proposals are due on June 28, 2002. The request for proposals was advertised in the Peninsula Clarion and Homer News.

The scope of work consists of providing all labor, materials, and equipment to perform summer and winter road maintenance in response to call out by Road Service Area personnel. The term of the contract commences on the date the contract is executed and extends until June 30, 2003.

During our formal solicitation for proposals we did not receive any responsive proposals for this unit. Under KPB 5.28.300, Waiver of Formal Bidding Procedures, we solicited informal proposals from two interested parties. Proposals will be evaluated on June 28, 2002, and a recommendation for award will be made at the July 9, 2002 assembly meeting.

Funding for this contract is available in the Road Service Area FY-2003 operational budget and all expenditures for the contract will be charged to account number 236.33950.46910.
