South Peninsula Hospital UST Closure

The Finance Department solicited and opened proposals for this capital project on May 22, 2002. The request for proposals was advertised in the Peninsula Clarion, Homer News, Anchorage Daily News, and Seward Phoenix Log.

Eight firms requested and received copies of the RFP. Three responsive proposals were received on May 22, 2002. Three evaluation committee members individually reviewed and scored the proposals on Qualifications and Experience, Project Approach and Work Plan, and Proposed Cost. The tabulated score sheet is attached.

Jay-Brant General Contractors, LLC was the high scorer and was selected to provide soil remediation services for this project.

The funding for this project is through KPB Ordinance 99-23, which appropriated funds from the Enterprise Fund for this project. The attached Resolution requests award of contract to Jay-Brant General Contractors, LLC for the proposed sum of extended unit prices of $69,550.00. The final contract amount will be determined by the actual quantities of work completed.
