Subject: RESOLUTION 2002-078: Port Graham School Structural Repair and Re-Roof Project
The Maintenance Department solicited, and opened bids for the above-referenced project on June 5, 2002. The invitation to bid was advertised in the Peninsula Clarion and the Anchorage Daily News. The low responsive extended bid of $98,850.00, submitted by Homer Roofing, LLC, of Homer, Alaska comprises the Base Bid and Additive Alternate 1.
The base bid consists of the structural repair and re-roof of approximately 2,426 square feet of roof, Additive Alternate 1 consists of the re-roof only of approximately 4,500 square feet of roof. Completion of this job will ensure that the entire Port Graham School has a structurally sound, leak-free roof that will last for at least several decades.
Attached please find the bid tab sheet, and a resolution authorizing the Mayor to award a contract to Homer Roofing, LLC.
Sufficient funding for the project is in accounts 400.71110.99715 and 400.71110.02715.
The project is scheduled to be substantially complete by August 19, 2002.
