SUBJECT: Resolution 2002-____, authorizing the mayor to offer for competitive bid fuel reduction sales in Unit 7

This resolution would authorize the sale of spruce bark beetle infested trees in the portions of Harvest Unit 7 classified as high or moderate fire hazard. This is pursuant to the authority contained in Ordinance 2000-50. The accompanying materials provide a single forest management sales report for all of the parcels contained in Unit 7, portions of which are proposed to be sold. The Anchor Point Advisory Planning Commission has unanimously recommended the sale be forwarded to the assembly, and the Planning Commission is scheduled to consider this item at its meeting on May 28, 2002. The planning commission recommendation will be provided to the assembly on or before the June 4, 2002, meeting.
