SUBJECT: Resolution 2002-050, Award of a Professional Consulting Services - Nikiski Industrial Park - Economic Feasibility Study
The Finance Department solicited and received proposals for a "Professional Consultin Services" to perform an Economic Feasibility Study titled: "Nikiski Industrial Park". The
"Request for Proposal" was released on February 28, 2002. This RFP was advertised in the Anchorage Daily News and the Peninsula Clarion.
The project consists of providing professional consulting services to examine the economic feasibility of an industrial park to be located in Nikiski, Alaska. This includes evaluating the economic potential and benefits of an industrial park and to make recommendations to the Kenai Peninsula Borough assembly.
Seven responsive proposals were received and were graded by five evaluators. All five evaluators rated Northern Economics the best value proposal. The evaluation summary sheet is attached. Also attached is a Resolution for Award by the KPB Assembly. The award amount to Northern Economics is $74,998.00.
The funding for this project is from the Capital Improvement Projects budget. All expenditures for this project will be charged to account number 100.94910.02NIA.49999.
