SUBJECT: RESOLUTION 2002-046; HOMER BALING FACILITY FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM
The Finance Department solicited and opened bids for the above-referenced project on April 3, 2002. The invitation to bid was advertised in the Peninsula Clarion, the Homer News and the Seward Phoenix Log. Three bids were received. The low responsive bid of $29,469.25 submitted by Air Tek, Inc. of Soldotna, Alaska comprises the base bid.
The base bid consists of providing all labor, materials and equipment to install a fire detection system at the Homer Baling Facility.
Funding is available in the Solid Waste capital projects budget. Expenditures for the project will be charged to account numbers 411.32310.99HBF and 411.32310.02HBF.
The attached Resolution requests Award of Contract for this work to the low responsive bidder for the bid amount. The project is scheduled to be substantially complete by July 2002.
