SUBJECT: RESOLUTION 2002-042, RSA DUST CONTROL PROGRAM
The Finance Department solicited and opened bids for the purchase of bulk calcium chloride for our dust control program on March 29, 2002. The invitations to bid were advertised in the Peninsula Clarion and Anchorage Daily News. The low responsive bid was from VOPAK USA for $54,600.
VOPAK USA has been the low responsive bidder for at least the past two years and has fulfilled the dust control order in a timely, efficient manner each time.
The funding for this program comes from the operations budget and is available under line item 236.33950.46911.
The attached resolution requests award of this program to VOPAK USA, the low responsive bidder for the bid amount.
