SUBJECT: Resolution 2002-034, Award of Professional Engineering Services Skyview High School Well House Project.

The Finance Department solicited and opened bids for this granted capital project on March 12, 2002. The Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Anchorage Daily News and the Peninsula Clarion on February 19^th and 26^th, Homer News and the Seward Phoenix Log on February 21^st and 28^th.

The project consists of providing professional design services for developing a detailed plan for building a new well house and service road and furnishing a detailed construction cost estimate.

Three proposals were received and are graded on the attached Tabulation of Scores. The attached Resolution requests Award of Contract for this work to Wm. J. Nelson & Associates, as the high point firm, for the Total Bid Amount of $25,812.00.

The funding for this project is from the Capital Improvement Projects budget. All expenditures for this project will be charged to account number 400.71180.01WEL.
