SUBJECT: Resolution 2002-033, Award of Professional Engineering Kalifornsky Beach Elementary Bus Turnaround Project.

The Finance Department solicited and opened bids for this bonded capital project on March 12, 2002. The Invitation to Bid was advertised in the Anchorage Daily News and the Peninsula Clarion on February 19th and 26th, Homer News and the Seward Phoenix Log on February 21st and 28th.

The project consists of providing professional design services for construction of a separate bus loading area to isolate the school bus traffic from the passenger car traffic and furnishing a detailed construction cost estimate.

Three proposals were received and are graded on the attached Tabulation of Scores. The attached Resolution requests Award of Contract for this work to McLane Consulting Group, as the high point firm, for the Total Bid Amount of $12,993.00.

The funding for this project is from the Capital Improvement Projects budget. All expenditures for this project will be charged to account number 400.71050.01BUS.
