A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE MAYOR OR HIS DESIGNATED

REPRESENTATIVE AS THE OFFICIAL MUNICIPAL LAND SELECTION

AGENT FOR THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH

WHEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula Borough has outstanding general grant land entitlements under AS 29.65 and former AS 29.18; and

WHEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula Borough may file for charitable and public use land selections under AS 38.05.810; and

WHEREAS, the State of Alaska, Department of Natural Resources, Division of Lands, requests authorization resolutions or ordinances with signature records for its files;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH:

SECTION 1. That the Borough Mayor is authorized as the official Municipal Land Selection Agent to act on behalf of the Kenai Peninsula Borough in all matters relating to the application for selection or release of State Lands or amendments thereto.

SECTION 2. That the Borough Mayor is authorized to delegate this authority to the Planning Director.

SECTION 3. That this resolution takes effect immediately upon its adoption.

ADOPTED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH THIS 14TH DAY OF JULY, 1998.
