ORDINANCE 2004-19-42

AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE ROAD SERVICE AREA BRUNO BRIDGE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT

WHEREAS, the Bruno Bridge Capital Improvement Project ("CIP") project is an approved Road Service Area ("RSA") project; and

WHEREAS, a recent inspection of the Bruno Bridge identified a need to expedite this project due to excessive deterioration of the decking material; and

WHEREAS, the problem has been temporarily repaired; and

WHEREAS, engineering has established an estimated cost to complete permanent repairs at $156,178, which includes associated engineering fees, construction costs and a contingency sum; and

WHEREAS, funding exists for this project in the RSA CIP projects fund balance;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH:

SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to appropriate $156,178 from the RSA CIP projects fund balance to account 434.33950.05E02.43011 for all engineering, construction, and advertising costs associated with this project.

SECTION 2. That the mayor is authorized to execute any documents necessary to effectuate the intents and purposes of this ordinance.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its enactment.
