ORDINANCE 2004-19-41 |
AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO ENHANCE ICE-MAKING
AT THE JASON PETERSON MEMORIAL ICE RINK
WHEREAS, the use of the Jason Peterson Memorial Ice Rink depends on natural ice-making; and
WHEREAS, residents of the service area have asked the service area board to explore the feasibility and cost of upgrades to the facility to enhance ice-making; and
WHEREAS, the North Peninsula Recreation Service Area board on January 24, 2005, adopted NPRSA Resolution 2005-1 requesting the appropriation of $15,000 for this purpose; and
WHEREAS, funding is available in the North Peninsula Recreation Service Area capital project fund;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH:
SECTION 1. Funding in the amount $15,000 is hereby appropriated from the NPRSA capital project fund balance to account no. 459.61110.05ICE for the purpose of hiring a consultant to study the cost and the feasibility of upgrades to achieve a usable ice sheet and enhancing the ice-making capability at the Jason Peterson Memorial Ice Rink.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
