SUBJECT: Ordinance 2003-19-58, Redirecting RSA CIP Funds
The Road Service Area opened bids for Group "A" Capital Improvement Projects ("CIP") on May 27, 2004. Two bids exceeded the funds appropriated for those projects. The road service area desires to complete these two projects this construction season, so it is asking to redirect other funds to these projects. This ordinance eliminates the lowest priority project on the CIP list and redirects its funds to the two projects that came in over budget.
The balance of the funds from the eliminated project will be transferred to the CIP fund balance, and will be used, if necessary, to cover any underfunded projects in the Group "B" CIP list.
Due to the short construction season the RSA would respectfully ask for an expedited hearing on this ordinance.
