SUBJECT: Ordinance 2003-19-48, appropriation for decontamination equipment
The administration just received notice from the state that the borough will receive $121,500 of the $168,000 requested for decontamination equipment. Attached is the draft Memorandum of Understanding and equipment list provided by the state.
Following are the amendments the administration respectfully requests the assembly make to ordinance 2003-19-48 based upon this information:
Amend the title as follows:
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING [$168,000] $121,500 FROM THE ALASKA DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION TO PURCHASE DECONTAMINATION [SHOWERS] SYSTEMS AND TRAILERS AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT
Amend Section 1 as follows:
SECTION 1. That the mayor is authorized to accept grant funds in the amount of [$168,000] $121,500 from the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation for the purchase of two additional decontamination [showers] systems and trailers, and decontamination equipment for these two [SHOWERS] systems and trailers and the third unit previously funded, and is authorized to execute a grant agreement and any other documents deemed necessary to accept and expend the grant and to fulfill the intents and purposes of this ordinance.
Amend Section 2 as follows:
SECTION 2. That the grant funds in the amount of [$168,000] $121,500 are appropriated to account No. 271.00000.4HMLS.34114.
