SUBJ: Emergency replacement of Septic System

The septic system at the North Peninsula Recreation Pool has failed and is in need of immediate replacement. The North Peninsula Service Area Board has authorized the use of $30,000 from the North Peninsula Service Area capital project fund balance for the immediate replacement of the septic system, which was originally constructed in 1975.

Failure of the septic system has created a health risk and the Service Area is requesting the assembly to make an emergency appropriation in order to expedite the replacement of the septic system.

Wince, Corthell and Bryson are working on the design of a new system at this time, and will be processing paper work at the Department of Environmental Conservation as soon as possible.

Your assistance in this matter is appreciated.
