KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH

ORDINANCE 95-23

AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AND APPROPRIATING

A GRANT OF $36,700.00 FROM THE STATE OF ALASKA FOR THE

KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH COASTAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAM

WHEREAS,the Kenai Peninsula Borough Coastal Management Program provides coordinated planning and permitting within the coastal boundary of the borough; and

WHEREAS,the Alaska Department of Community and Regional Affairs has approved the Borough's request for Section 306 funding under the Alaska Coastal Management Program; and

WHEREAS,the Kenai Peninsula Borough has been awarded $36,700 for use in administration and implementation of the Coastal Management Program;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH ASSEMBLY THAT:

SECTION 1.That the Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly hereby accepts a grant of $36,700 from the State of Alaska to fund the Kenai Peninsula Borough Coastal Management Program.

SECTION 2.That the sum of $36,700 is hereby appropriated to the following accounts in these respective amounts:

SECTION 3.That these funds shall be utilized to carry out the required tasks of the grant.

SECTION 4.That the Mayor is authorized to sign any documents necessary to effectuate this ordinance and deemed to be in the best interest of the borough.

ENACTED BY THE ASSEMBLY OF THE KENAI PENINSULA BOROUGH THIS 15th DAY OF AUGUST, 1995.
